Carnegie Mellon University invites applications for the position of Director of Finance for the Division of Campus Services. Carnegie Mellon is a private research university with a distinctive mix of

Reporting to the Director of Campus Services, the Director of Finance is responsible for supervising and assisting in managing finance and operations for the Division of Campus Services which is comprised of Conference & Event Services, Copy Centers, Parking & Transportation Services, Postal Services, Printing & Mailing Services, and University Stores.
The Finance Director is responsible for comprehensive financial and statistical analysis, budgeting and planning, financial reporting and establishment of financial policies and procedures. The Director
provides extensive value added services, including providing financial analysis and direction to department heads and staff; performing internal control reviews; and leading process improvement initiatives. This position has direct supervisory responsibility for administrative and financial support staff.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills; five to seven years experience in financial statement preparation, analysis and budgeting; inventory valuation and control, demonstrated knowledge of GAAP and of enterprise-wide finance and HR
systems, policies and practices, and end user expertise with large scale ERP systems. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills and a commitment to developing collaborative relationships are required.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field, with financial and supervisory experience in higher education, preferably in auxiliary services, retail or manufacturing environment is required. A Master of Business Administration or other advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
