Director of Finance/Reporting
This position is located on Long Island
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Provide high quality financial reports, analysis and information to key decision-making personnel in the Company including the CEO and CFO.
Manage preparation of certain financial reports and statements to be distributed to both external and internal constituencies.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Coordinate budget, strategic and forecasting planning process for both Company-wide business units and corporate departments.
Manage preparation of financial analysis including presentation materials for CFO meetings with Senior Management, employees, Board of Director and other constituencies
Prepare Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) for SEC filings and other financial reports.
Lead review and financial analysis of capital expenditure requests and monitor capital spending plans.
Support investor relations activities.
Complete ad-hoc financial analysis for CFO & Controller.

Ensure the communication of clear planning instructions and key milestone dates and work product expectations in a timely manner.
Monitor business unit performance in preparing financial plans.
Automate consolidation and analysis process wherever possible.
Manage preparation of consolidated planning information and analysis in a timely manner.
Plan, monitor and control process to minimize number of revisions to financial plans through advanced planning techniques.
Manage preparation of financial analysis including presentation materials for CFO meetings with Senior Management, employees, Board of Director and other constituencies.
Financial reports are prepared and reviewed with the Controller and/or CFO in a timely manner and require minimal revisions.
Financial information agrees to underlying system and business unit information.
Presentations and communication materials are clear, concise and error-free.
Supporting material and financial data are organized clearly and well-documented.
Prepare Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) for SEC filings and other financial reports.
Ensure information is collected, compiled and used to prepare MD&A for reporting purposes within 15 days of general ledger close period.
Ensure that supporting material and financial data are organized clearly and well-documented.
Lead review and financial analysis of capital expenditure requests and monitor capital spending plans.
Ensure there are no errors in financial analysis.
Evaluate effectiveness of project in comparison to budget or strategic plan.
Review sensitivity analysis and ensure consideration of alternative plans.
Ensure project timing is not delayed due to Corporate review and approval process.
Communicate directly and clearly with business units on capital spending.
Support investor relations activities.
Timely and accurate review and evaluation of analyst’s models of Company performance.
Maintain and manage competitor and industry benchmarking data and analysis.
Complete ad-hoc financial analysis for CFO & Controller.
Ensure that analysis is error-free and is prepared in a timely manner.

MBA with a concentration in financial management coursework is desired
A CPA would be a Plus and Highly desired
Undergraduate degree in engineering, finance or other quantitative technical field is required.
Minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
Understands issues relevant to the automotive industry, organization and business.
