A sampling of the applications for our circuits includes consumer electronics, personal computers and peripherals, handheld electronics, wireless and fiber communications, test equipment, instrumentation, video displays, and automotive applications.

Job Requirements:
The candidate should have the following qualifications:

At least 7 years of experience in trade compliance in the semiconductor industry, including experience in exports (product and “deemed exports”), imports and C-TPAT.

Knowledge and experience in analyzing applicable regulations and implementing changes and improvements to various company processes and functions.

Strong and pragmatic management skill, good communication skills, at least a BS.
Responsibilities:

Provide advice and counsel to business leaders regarding compliance with international trade regulations and laws, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to international trade agreements, trade legislation, US Customs regulations, Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Manage, build, direct and assist a trade/export compliance team.

Authority for export compliance policy and procedural implementation across the Company.

Work with in-house and outside counsel to resolve any trade and export issues as they arise and assure Company-wide compliance.

Audit the Company for compliance with import and export procedures/policies, develop corrective action plans to correct deficiencies and/or add new controls for meeting regulatory changes.

Oversee a staff that will work cooperatively with technical personnel to establish proper import and export classifications in accordance with the EAR and ITAR.

Oversee export license applications (where required) from appropriate US government regulatory agencies, including Departments of State and Commerce.

Assist HR on issues related to the hiring of non-US citizens and compliance issues that may arise with these employees.

Monitor and analyze legal changes (in conjunction with in-house and outside counsel) affecting import and export requirements and adjust business practices as appropriate.

Implementation and management of C-TPAT program to ensure certification and validation.

Coordinate trade compliance training of Company personnel.
