Holiday Retirement, North America's leading provider of independent living retirement communities, has a FT position available for a Director of Health & Wellness Programming in our corporate office in Salem, Oregon.
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for translating the Holiday Retirement Health and Wellness strategy into meaningful program and service offerings across the portfolio. In this role, the individual would be responsible for developing brand wide Mind/Body Wellness (Fitness, Activity, Nutrition, Self Actualization, and Health Resources) competencies and driving delivery of these programs to the Community level.
Qualifications
Advanced degree and/or experience in a wellness field preferred.
Knowledge of Governmental rules and regulations regarding health care and senior housing.
Ability to present compelling business case for introduction of new programs and services.
Ability to build strong relationships and partner with departments/Communities.
Essential Job Duties
Work with the Executive Team to create a differentiated and meaningful Wellness offering that will serve as a pillar of the Holiday Retirement value proposition.
Evaluate and refine current fitness offering, including development of an ownable Fitness concept and fitness/wellness center prototype within the overall context of a branded Wellness offering.
Establish a Health Resources competency in compliance with local and state health regulations, create and implement proactive processes and procedures for noro, emergency and disaster protocol.
Work to evolve the current Resident Enrichment model to be more focused on Mind/Body Wellness. Develop Activity Services and Programming to align with this focus.
Work to define role of Enrichment Coordinators to enable delivery of these Programs and Services at the Community level.
In conjunction with Food Services develop Nutrition Programming.
Serve as a liaison with other departments regarding new services and industry trends.
Develop industry partnerships to enhance development of Health & Wellness Programming.
In conjunction with the Executive Team, establish integration points for new initiatives such as homecare for input throughout the portfolio.
Must demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability.
