Job Description

 

Director of Human Resources will oversee the HR function for Arisaph Pharmaceuticals.

 

Primary responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

 

HR POLICIES & PROCEDURES

·        Manage HR representatives/managers so they provide general and consistent information and guidance to managers and employees on HR process, programs and policies, applying broad knowledge of employment, performance management, immigration, relocation, compensation, career development, benefits, terminations, new hire on-boarding, employee satisfaction and retention.

·        Help ensure compliance with HR policy and external regulations.

·        Identify and help establish HR Policy and Procedures as needed. Ensure Policies and Procedures are changed, adapted or updated to meet business, company or geography needs.

·        Manage and communicate recruiting, -(US only), and regulatory goals and progress toward goals.

 

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

·        Advise and counsel HR representative team/ HR manager on managing employee relation issues and generate solutions with team that increase employee contribution, capability and commitment.

·        Provide guidance to HR representatives/managers on employee performance issues that may involve employee discipline, termination, position elimination and/or severance.

·        Ensure that managers take a pro-active role in guiding management on business decisions that impact people and encourage pro-active thinking and behaviors of representative team.

·        Ensure that exit interviews with terminating employees are conducted and documented. Ensure turnover trends and root causes that span organizations within specific geographies are identified and recommendations are provided to reduce turnover.

·        Manage Merger and Acquisition operations for geography to select and ensure integration of new employees.

 

HR DATA MANAGEMENT

·        Oversee local HR data including job requisitions, new hires, transfers, LOA (Leave of Absence) and terminations. Accountable for HR data integrity for geography.

·        Oversee the analysis of HR reports for local country (headcount, turnover, retention practices, etc) providing summary conclusions and recommendations for further action.

·        Compile HR metrics and other significant data on a regular basis and present to Business Director

 

LEGAL

·        Counsel and guide HR representatives/managers on labor law issues to ensure compliance within their respective organizations.

·        Ensure HR representatives/managers liaise with internal/external legal consultants (lawyers) to provide accurate and appropriate counsel to managers and/or representatives.

·        Manage reorganization processes and/or reductions in force, engaging internal and external legal support when necessary.

·        Be aware of changes in labor laws, communicate to HR representatives/managers, and understand the impact to the business and employees.

·        Guide Senior Management in decisions with legal implications, consulting with legal as appropriate.

 

MANAGEMENT COACHING AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

·        Establish framework for management coaching within geography’s delivery team. Provide guidance and train team to provide coaching and counsel to managers on a variety of HR issues to increase employee contribution, capability and commitment.

·        Establish and provide processes and tools for managers that increase their effectiveness as leaders of people including performance management, career development, performance improvement, coaching and feedback, setting expectations, teambuilding, etc.

·        Work with the design and delivery teams to determine appropriate management development opportunities and/or forum topics based on the client’s needs and readiness.

·        Facilitate Management Forums and/or other development opportunities for managers.

 

STAFFING

·        Ensure client satisfaction with the staffing process and program implementation for the region.

·        Conduct interviews as needed to evaluate best fit by focusing on soft skills (leadership, attitudes, competencies) and fit in company culture.

 

COMPENSATION

·        Develop competitive compensation and benefits programs and program implementation in region. Facilitate HR representatives/managers’ goal setting and development, and conduct performance reviews.

·        Evaluate and provide behavioral feedback throughout the year to identify proficiency, strengths, and opportunities for development.

·        Provides information, advice, guidance, and suggestions to enable representative/manager to be more successful in current performance and career

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·               4-year college degree in business, Human Resources or related field.

·               Master’s degree preferred

·               5 years in a generalist capacity, in a professional environment supporting a 200+ employee population, sales organization.

·               3-7 years in HR Management

·               Experience and skill in managing and establishing business relationships and partnerships at senior executive levels .

·               Demonstrated relationship management skills.

·               Strong communication, presentation and project management skills.

·               Strong, conflict management, leadership and mentoring skills.

·               Strong commitment to customer service.

·               Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·               Proficient in MS Office or similar applications.

·               Strong knowledge of state/federal laws.

·               Ability and willingness to travel
