General Position Summary: As a leading Workplace Technologies and Personnel company, we are looking to hire an innovative and progressive leader as its Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources at Allyis will ensure that our growth does not diminish our focus on building a company that’s a refuge for our employees and their families with a fun, passionate, and supportive environment. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities: - Develop strategic initiatives that have a substantial impact on the company’s success overall, while evaluating the impact of decisions on the employee population
- Translate strategic corporate business plans into HR strategic and operational plans
- Assist executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of company wage and salary program
- Design new approaches, policies, programs, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the HR function and support Allyis’ best workplace goals
- Provide HR Policy interpretation and communicate changes in company personnel policies and procedures and insure proper compliance is followed
- Develop and manage department goals, objectives, and budget
- Obtain bids upon renewal; confer with management regarding benefits costs, make recommendations as to employer/employee cost sharing. Direct benefits administration, enrollment and open enrollment meetings
- Maintain in depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal consultant as needed/required
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Oversee and maintain affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations
- Provide expert advice to executives and management on organization design, staff development, workforce planning, succession planning, performance management, process improvement, and culture change
- Additional responsibilities as requested

- Ability to write speeches, presentations, and articles for publication
Position Requirements: - Demonstrated leadership ability to create constructive relationships with senior management and peers in a matrix organization, and be recognized as a partner and resource
- Willingness to be a pioneer in the use of social media to build and foster community among employees, communicate, and execute the vision of the department
- Must have the proven gravitas and courage of his/her convictions to effectively "sit at the table" with the senior executive team
- Background or capabilities in people development, growth, and building a corporate culture through programs, objectives, and coaching
- Must be an excellent communicator in written and verbal formats
- Must be willing to share HR-related subject matter expertise with internal and external constituents
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, from a competitive institution
- At least 10 years experience in Human Relations with 5 years in a senior management position
- Experience in larger organizations of 200+ employees
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading HR program initiatives through implementation
- Demonstrated success in improving or building career development programs
- Public speaking experience
- Familiarity with social media tools
- Demonstrated success in a start-up environment (preferred)
- Member of SHRM or other like professional organizations (preferred)
Job Conditions: Work is full-time and onsite with occasional after hours work on evenings and weekends for events and speaking opportunities.
