Ultimate Electronics is a privately-held consumer electronics retailer. Based in Thornton, CO for over 40 years, the company has 32 superstores in 9 states.  Ultimate Electronics provides the industrys most comprehensive selection of name brand electronics with an emphasis on innovation and technology.  We are currently undergoing a rapid expansion and have several openings based out of the corporate offices in Denver, Colorado.    
 
The Director of Loss Prevention is a critical business partner and is responsible for providing direction on shortage control, shortage awareness, and program compliance for all stores. This individual must be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced atmosphere, support the store environment, and provide a professional and challenging environment for their direct reports. Representing the brand in all aspects of performance is also required.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the hiring, training, and supervision of Regional LP managers and in their area.
  • Develop and execute strategies and policies to ensure LP programs stay current with shortage trends and company direction.
  • Ensure that RLPM's are providing training and support to RM's and DM's through rideshares and store visits.
  • Review and analyze shortage results and investigative findings for their area, and determine shortage causes and solutions. Work with Operations to build partnerships and strategies to reduce shortage as a team.
  • Maintain budgets for travel and expense of direct reports, as well as capital and expense for new and existing stores. Work with store construction to plan ahead for new stores, with emphasis on designing technology around store environment.
  • Actively participate in meetings and training sessions at every opportunity to increase awareness of shortage drivers and provide training and direction to their direct reports.
  • Identify top priority "Target" stores and place them on a high shrink program to ensure added resources and attention. Ensure RLPM's drive high shortage program as a priority.
  • Identify key corporate partners for strategic alliances, and forward thinking progress. Also identify store policies requiring review and amendment, and consult with supervisor to enact positive change.
  • Ensure direct reports are providing a positive experience when visiting stores through constant training and feedback.


Job Requirements:
  • 4-year degree (required)
  • 6-10 years experience in Loss Prevention, preferably with a consumer-electronics retailer.
  • Experience managing a staff at the district or regional levels.
  • Knowledge of camera systems and installation
  • Professional demeanor and strong business acumen, with experience managing expenses
  • Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Strong interpersonal, organization and follow-through skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with emphasis on report writing
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
