Summary:
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the CCO Marketing Department including, but not limited to, staff recruitment and development, product management, communications, and analytics. This individual will partner with the Senior Management Team, other key functional areas and the Marketing group to design and deliver on the overall marketing strategy for the company. CCO is looking for a high-potential individual that can immediately make an impact.
Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy:
· Establish annual goals, strategies and tactics with regard to products, sales support, membership and analytics
· Execute overall marketing strategy for the company based on synthesis of needs from various stakeholders including senior management, specialty verticals and engineering
· Develop and manage annual marketing budget with regard to marketing operations, acquisition and retention tactics, and staffing
· Maintain an ongoing understanding of the CME and medical publishing space and develop a comprehensive competitive intelligence database
Communications and Branding:
· Maintain and update established communication standards and tactics including supervision of external email production staff and process
· Monitor all brand placements and logo usage to ensure consistency and proper positioning of the company in the market place
· Contribute to ongoing corporate communications including staff newsletters, training and other corporate development efforts
Products and Product Usage:
· Drive product requirements and implementation for next generation CME, and point-of-care publishing business
· Partner with Operations Department, Engineering Department and other stake holders to take products to market and ensure successful adoption.
· Support Circulation Manager and analytics resources in the definition and development of information tools to integrate and report on all data assets
· Work with data and analytics staff to fulfill ongoing data and reporting needs including regular program reports, business development, and ad hoc data sets
Member Acquisition and Event Recruitment:
· Support all efforts to effectively recruit target audiences for live, online, and print education
· Maintain ongoing understanding of clinical audiences and educational needs
· Provide actionable insights into recruitment design and deployment based on historic data and trends

General Requirements:
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal
· Ability to both work independently as well as demonstrate effective teamwork
· Excellent judgment and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Exceptional time management, organizational, and project management skills with strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to be delivered on time and within budget
· High level of proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other business applications
· 5-10 years experience with marketing and communications in the medical publishing setting
· Background in Continuing Medical Education (CME) highly desirable
