Position: Marketing Director Location: Columbus, Ohio Job Specifications: Lead all aspects of company's marketing activities and sales administration. Our client is a leading online media company for the accounting industry. This position reports to the Publisher and also to the Sales Manager. This opportunity will appeal to an innovative and driven professional who is looking to work on a unique 10 year-old national online title (advertising-based business model) with a proven track record of success. This online sales, marketing and publishing environment provides the perfect opportunity for a self-motivated individual who relishes the chance to have a great deal of autonomy, corporate support and the opportunity to work from a home-based office in conjunction with periodic business travel working trade shows, meeting with advertisers and participating in company meetings. Key Responsibilities: Ownership of the complete marketing effort from creation to execution. Includes: trade shows, conferences, development of all media, handling promotions and mailing campaigns, working with agencies and vendors, implementing social marketing efforts, writing sales-oriented marketing materials, and more. Identify short-term and long-term needs, establishing and developing business partnerships and acting with integrity and professionalism, promoting a positive image for the brand. Develop and maintain databases in coordination with the administrative needs of the Sales Department. This sales assistant portion of the position will also include researching and making calls to identify the correct advertising decision-makers at prospective companies. Comply with all established policies and procedures and perform other functions that may be assigned. Qualifications: Be a thinker who can make decisions and handle strategies, concepts and unglamorous details. Bachelors degree and excellent strategic marketing abilities, along with outstanding written and oral communication skills are a must. Proficient with computer software and technology. |
