About the Job
Boston-based global equity long-short hedge fund is looking for a person to help grow assets. Must have proven ability to raise funds and well-established contacts among one or more of the following categories: family office, endowment, foundation, pension funds. An pre-existing affiliation with a broker-dealer is a big plus. Ideally, all relevant broker credentials needed to distribute investment products should be in place.
Our firm has about $30mm in AUM, an excellent 5-year track record, and is just now embarking on a concerted capital raising campaign. We have just successfully launched our offshore fund, allowing us to take on assets of non-US citizens and certain tax-exempt entities. Someone with wide-ranging contacts and a talent for raising money would be stepping into a situation with considerable momentum.
Person can be based either in Boston or NYC provided that he or she is willing to spend a certain percentage of the time in Boston in order to be integrated into the team. A willingness to travel globally is also needed. The team currently consists of a CIO, a COO and three investment analysts. 100% of the partnership equity is owned in-house. The culture of the firm is exceptionally collegial. All that is needed now is someone who can succeed in helping us raise capital.
