New England Organics is a leading provider of organic waste management and recycling services dedicated to assisting our clients and customers in achieving their sustainability goals by optimizing the use of their organic wastes and byproducts. We are seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing who will join our leadership team and expand our services throughout the northeastern U.S.  Among other duties, the right candidate will be responsible for achieving sales, customer retention and service goals, oversight and upgrade of sales systems and tools, and management of company marketing and promotional efforts. The right candidate will be able to supervise and train staff, generate and close sales, maintain sales data and provide reports, work independently and in teams, and participate effectively in the management team. Direct experience with environmental services, waste industry, water & wastewater process & history, composting, soils & agriculture, beneficial use of residuals, and applicable regulatory framework is preferred.

This position is based in our Portland, Maine headquarters and travel throughout the northeast is essential.

Job Requirements:

• Experienced manager & supervisor
• Superior writing and communication skills
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite
• Five years sales and marketing experience
• Knowledge of environmental services and waste industry

• Familiarity with agriculture and/or soil sciences
