Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning

Pri-Med, the nation’s leading provider of medical education for primary care physicians, is seeking a Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning to join our Boston, MA office.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to be involved in all aspects of marketing and sales strategy, and seeing it through to successful execution. As the Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning, you will have the opportunity to play a significant role in helping  Pri-Med grow its business by being responsible for developing marketing and sales strategy, and then managing the team to successfully execute upon the strategies. We are looking for someone to lead in the following areas:

  • Strategic Direction: Develop corporate and product specific strategies, product development, product positioning
  • Market Evaluation: Market research, quantitative analysis, building a sustainable ROI model
  • Sales Support: Client marketing, material development, participate on key calls, establish best practices, industry marketing

You will partner closely with the SVP of Product Management and the EVP of Sales, and will be responsible for creating messaging for the sales organization and making sure that this messaging is consistent across all marketing/sales mediums, mining information from internal departments in the creation of these messages. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining an internal library of sales collateral and conducting market research on clients, prospects and competitors. Once the sales and marketing strategies have been set, you will ensure that the strategy you had worked to developed will be successfully executed upon by creating brochures and sell sheets, reviewing all product marketing efforts, developing therapeutic case studies and other promotional materials, and managing the marketing budget in the development and production of marketing collateral. You will also be expected to keep current with industry trends and news. It will be your role to create leverage for the sales team by collecting data you know will be helpful to them, and using this data to approach the marketplace in the most intelligent way possible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience leading integrated marketing programs in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries
  • Ability to think strategically; excellent project management skills and experience is required
  • Experience as a member of a senior level sales/marketing team, and a commitment to shared success
  • Significant experience  in data analysis and market research
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Microsoft Suite required, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical product manager role in a large company is a differentiator
