Job Description

A leading northern New Jersey financial institution seeks a Director of Mortgage Servicing.  This individual will act as an "expert" for the department's team members in all facets of the mortgage servicing area.  This individual will also provide support and backup to the SVP and the 1st VP in the overall management of the Mortgage Servicing Department. 

Responsibilities

• Support mortgage servicing management to assure the accuracy and the efficiency of the loan servicing process and to reduce the possibility of loss.  Areas supported include:

           Default Management Sections - including collections, foreclosures, bankruptcies and loss mitigation

           Wholesale Mortgage Operations - control and administration of loans purchased for the Bank's portfolio

           General Departmental Servicing - evaluation of the servicing department's effectiveness and adherence to performance standards

• Contribute to the review and the creation of mortgage servicing policy design for new and existing programs
  
• Communicate regularly with senior management, bank employees, attorneys and third party service providers
  
• Report directly to the Senior Vice President of the Mortgage Servicing Department

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
  
• Minimum 7-10 years related mortgage servicing experience
  
• Proven experience managing a staff in excess of 50 employees
