My client operates freestanding hospitals designed to treat medically complex patients who require acute care hospital services for an extended period of time, generally more than 25 days. Currently, the company's network of hospitals includes 20 locations in nine states.

The Director of Nursing will report to the CEO and will have at least 5 years management experience in long term or hospital acute care. Must be a licensed RN in the State of Colorado or eligible. Critical Care experience a definite plus. The Director of Nursing (DON) develops and maintains nursing service goals, objectives and standards of nursing practice; adheres to staffing plans; and develops Nursing Department policies and procedures. The Director of Nursing is responsible for organizing, developing and directing nursing services and ensuring the deliverance of quality nursing care. The DON is active in department activities, transdisciplinary team activities, and corporate activities to ensure individualized, patient-centered health care for all patient populations admitted to the Hospital.
