Responsibilities:

  • Manages nursing department in nursing center to maintain quality standards of care, and advises medical staff, department heads, and Administrator in matters related to nursing service.
  • Interprets nursing philosophy and establishes departmental goals and objectives.
  • Institutes organizational structure and communications systems which include all levels of nursing staff to promote effective care delivery.
  • Directs the nursing staff in its entirety. May exercise direction over the entire center staff in the absence of the Administrator.

Job Requirements: 

  •  1+  years experience as a Director of Nursing required
  • 2-6 years in long-term or acute health care experience preferred
  • Currently licensed as RN in CT
