DIRECTOR
OF NURSING

We are seeking an experienced, team-oriented, highly qualified Director of Nursing (DON) for a Joint Commission accredited and CMS certified 158 bed inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital (BHS). Providing acute and sub-acute psychiatric treatment to adults from several counties in Southern New Jersey, BHS' mission is (o provide modern, state-of-the-art professional treatment based on a philosophy of wellness and recovery and trauma-informed care.

The DON serves as the clinical and administrative leader of all nursing services and is a core member of the clinical leadership team in shaping hospital policies, developing and implementing nursing practices, and promoting a culture of clinical excellence, collegiality, professionalism, and accountability.

The preferred candidate will have an earned Master's degree in nursing, at least 5 years experience in a nursing administrative/leadership position, and a minimum of 5 years direct patient care experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting. Also desired is a working knowledge of Joint Commission and CMS standards; experience in program development and implementation; and effectiveness in design and monitoring of quality improvement practices. Previous professional experience will also demonstrate highly developed skills in communication with staff, patients, and families; promotion of a culture of team spirit, positive attitudes, and mutual cooperation; and exhibit compassion, patience, respect, and courtesy in interactions at all levels.
