Director of Nursing Needed for Southern California Market!

Well established hospital is looking for a Director of Nursing to oversee all surgical services operations.

Beautiful Southern California location!!

Position overview:

• Responsible for the complete oversight of the nursing department:  staffing, budget, planning and survey preparedness.
  
• Oversight responsibility for the Operating Room Department; doing  all types of general, ortho, GYN, plastics and GU cases; limited neuro cases and pain management procedures; the PreAdmit assessment unit; PreOp patient preparation unit; the Post Anesthesia Care Unit.
  
• Oversight for the 20+ bed inpatient medical/surgical unit.
  
• Policy and Procedure oversight and strategic planning for the facility.
  
• Implements and oversees nursing education to ensure that all nursing staff maintains required competencies.
  
• 4 direct manager reports, 100+FTEs reporting to position.

Qualifications:

• RN CA license. Masters of Healthcare Administration, MBA, or related Masters Degree plus graduate of a Nursing program (Associate degree required, BSN preferred).
  
• 8+years experience working in an acute care hospital for operation efficiency, strategic and financial planning, team building, quality/risk management, and regulatory compliance or equivalent combination of education experience.
  
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, client, customers and the general public.
