ManorCare Health Services - Westerville offers wound management led by a Wound Care Specialist and highly trained nursing staff. ManorCare provides occupational physical speech and respiratory therapy utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to help patients achieve their goals. A specialized speech therapy room with acoustic walls and floors facilitate teaching patients to speak more clearly express ideas understand what is being said swallow without difficulty and use hearing aids effectively.

ManorCare also has a secured Arcadia Alzheimer's unit with a dedicated team of professionals including a manager activity programmers licensed nurses certified nursing assistants dietitian and housekeeper. Each is trained to understand the changing needs of individuals with dementia and provide the latest care approaches and techniques to help residents remain as independent as possible. The Arcadia Unit has its own private dining room lounge and secured courtyard.

ManorCare offers private and semi-private rooms on-site social services personnel a full schedule of life enhancing activities socialization through recreational services and full-time dietitian and certified dietary manager to meet special diet accommodations.

The Director of Nursing Services (DON) works in concert with the Administrator and directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in
accordance with current Federal State and HCR ManorCare standards guidelines and regulations. In absence of the Administrator assumes the responsibility for center operations. The Director of Nursing Services (DON) conducts the nursing process – assessment planning implementation and evaluation – under the scope of the State’s Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.

Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

EDUCATION:
Currently licensed as RN in this state; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
