Director of Operations - Northeast U.S.

Our client, a leading producer of paper products, seeks a strategic leader to head operational direction for multiple facilities focused on its popular product lines. Its category leading products continue to provide useful hygienic solutions to Food Service, Jan/San, Industrial and other Commercial customers. Historic demand for these has driven substantial regional, national and international sales.

This manufacturer is looking for an individual to provide overall operation strategies supported through it high performance facilities located in the Northeast U.S. Key leadership responsibilities will include execution of objective programs to produce safe, efficient and effective performance for all paper manufacturing employees. Emphasis will also include development as well as implementation of operational plans to exceed regional and divisional goals. Other key responsibilities will be centered around strategies to improve production performance, manage regional inventories and develop effective employee relations. To support these activities this person will head a direct reporting leadership staff to include Operations Managers along with other key facility leaders to develop challenging objectives and support departmental accountability. Other key responsibilities will be focused on developing as well as managing regional budget processes and capital investment opportunities to advance overall financial performance for the region. Special duties will include further development of policies and procedures to advance high performance work systems, and continuous process improvements. The individual will also head negotiations and approvals associated with bargaining agreements

To qualify for this exciting opportunity you must posses a minimum of 10 years proven effectiveness and progressively responsible management experience within a manufacturing or related production environment. Paper manufacturing experience, though not required, is preferred. Additional experience working collaboratively within a Union environment with general knowledge of personnel practices and labor agreements is also preferred. Ability to provide appropriate management direction, coaching and personnel development is highly sought. Successful experience working in a high performance work system utilizing strong analytical, organizational, administration and manufacturing process skills sets you apart. A Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science plus related experience or equivalent overall work experience is required.

First year earnings are expected to be $130K-$160K plus excellent benefits. A comprehensive relocation package will be provided where needed.
