KNOWLEDGE:                Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.  Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred.

SKILLS:                             Good organizational skills, exercise good judgement and communicate effectively.   

EXPERIENCE:                   A minimum of five years progressive experience in an acute care setting is required.

                                                Three years previous supervisorial/managerial experience is preferred.             

LICENSE:                           Valid CA Pharmacist License

DEFINITION:      

A skilled practitioner, responsible for administrative activities for The Fremont-Rideout Health Group pharmaceutical services and for providing prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals needed for adequate patient care according to professional standards and practices.  This practitioner collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team and is responsible for provision of quality, timely and appropriate care to patients of any age including: neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric through patient assessment and treatment; through implementation of utilization review and clinical education programs.
