About the Job
Position Description:
Initially 30-40% oversight of India-based outsource team, 60-70 % key code development.

Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- At least 6 years Java development experience in a team environment
- Experience as a lead developer on at least one successful Java/J2EE project
- Strong experience with J2EE and either Servlets or JSPs
- Developed at least one multi-tier application that connects to a relational DB using JDBC or an ORM framework
- Experience using an IDE (ideally Eclipse, but IntelliJ or other is fine)
- At least basic comfort working with HTML/CSS
- Comfortable working as a user on both Windows XP and at least one Linux distribution or Unix OS
- 4-year Computer Science bachelors degree, or equivalent
- Experience using a software configuration management system (CVS, SVN, etc.)
- Very strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong experience with at least one widely-used relational database, and comfort writing and optimizing SQL queries by hand (ideally MySQL, but PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server are also fine)
- Strong data modeling experience
- Experience working with applications in a SOA (service-oriented architecture)
- Ability to create technical documentation, participate in project estimation
- Ability to establish and maintain disciplined product development process
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate into effective product development plans especially non-technical front end user interface
- Ability to lead back-end product development through outsourced team
-Ability to establish effective QA process which balances speed to market with customer satisfaction
Education: Minimum BS: Software Engineering, MS: Software Engineering or MBA preferred
Desired Experience (the more the better):
- 3+ years experience in data warehouse development
- Experience with performance optimization of Microsoft SQL Server stored procedures, Analysis Services and cubes/queries
- Strong web user-interface development experience
- Experience with data-mining and/or statistical analysis software libraries
- Experience working with large data sets
- Experience with at least one MVC framework like Struts or Spring MVC
- Understanding of the hotel/hospitality industry
- Experience managing or working with outsourced software development teams
- Experience developing data-driven software facing a non-technical user profile
-Experience presenting to prospective client technologists
-Experience working with business partners in cross platform database integration
