Overview of Responsibilities

The Director of Product Development is responsible for leading all the product development activities.  As the Director you will be responsible for managing and continuing to build a dynamic software development organization.  You will  have extensive customer interface to ensure product development is aligned with customer needs as well as reponsibilities in implementing policies and practices to continue the development of a cost-effective, innovative and responsive product realization process and discipline, and budget and capital management as expected in such a position. 

·        Owner of the software development process

·        Owner of the software development quality assurance plan

·        Develop and maintain a  world class team of software developers

·        Manage software development teams in multiple geographical locations

·        Project management of all product development

·        Budget management of all product development projects

Qualifications

o   MSEE/MSCS with a minimum of 10 years of software product development experience.

o   5+ years of management experience

o   Experience with deploying software products in a wireless telecommunications network.

o   Very good understanding of wireless networks

o   Familiarity with cellular radio technology

o   Proven experience in developing scalable, reliable and robust wireless telecom carrier grade software products

o   A track record in building and managing product development organizations that is both local and remote

o   Thorough understanding of water fall and agile software development process

o   Excellent organizational and leadership skills

o   Excellent people and project management skills

o   Excellent oral and written communication skills
