Job Description:
As a successful Director of Research and Evaluation you will utilize your talents to design and implement a systemic and ongoing research and evaluation program that supports the revenue generating goals of the franchise community. The Director of Research and Evaluation will oversee the development of the assessment strategy of the future that will build upon passed experiences and help position our client for the future through systematic research and evaluation activities.
As a successful Director of Research and Evaluation you will:
- Work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams to analyze the assessment, research, evaluation and reporting needs of the retail and the institutional businesses and make recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with cross-departmental teams to develop, implement and continually refine assessment, research evaluation and initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with the FOA Education committee to systematically gather the input of Franchisees and Center staff on ways to improve current assessments and to address the emerging research and reporting needs.
- Continue to refine the research foundation for programs.
- Oversee the alignment of programs to national, state and local standards.
- Improve center profitability and student success through the design of reports that are meaningful to customers including parents and school district officials.
- Manage the SAT/ACT program.
- Work collaboratively with a cross-departmental team to implement new assessment and reporting activities through field-testing, editing, training and presentations at annual conference.
- Collaborate with center experts, internal departments and vendors to achieve the most cost-effective and efficient results for the company.
- Interview, hire and manage research and evaluation consultants.
Requirements:
- Masters degree required in research, evaluation or related area with strong knowledge of assessment instrumentation.
- Understanding of the role that assessment, research and evaluation play in the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of K-12 educational programs.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate research, assessment and evaluation results to a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with and understanding of how technology can be used to effectively facilitate assessment, research, evaluation and reporting.
- 5-10 years or experience in research and evaluation.
- 3 or more years experience as a successful manager required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Confident presentation ability.
- PhD/ Ed.D is required.
