Job Description


 


Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Director of Sales will be the leader of the sales organization for IT staffing and will be responsible for revenue generation from new clients and revenue enhancement from existing clients.  This is a hands on position where the candidate will be responsible for their own productivity (revenue goals).  Using effective leadership & management skills, the candidate would also be expected to manage the team by using his/her background and experience in selecting and prioritizing strategic accounts, account planning, creating and implementing account management program metrics, performing organizational alignment (sales and recruitment processes), gaining senior management commitment, enhancing processes and systems for communications and knowledge management.   


 


This is a leadership role that will involve managing a team of account managers that would include setting their revenue targets and measuring against performance. In addition, the selected candidate will manage the recruiting process to meet client requirements. In summary the responsibilities would include:




  • Setting and achieving revenue goals using new account acquisition strategies and programs


  • Implementing customer retention strategies and programs for existing clients


  • Strategic account management, account business reviews, and customer needs analysis


  • Team management and leadership responsibilities; training, managing, and skill development of staff 


  • Customer needs analysis and safety assessments


  • Maximizing gross profit while controlling expenses and increased contribution to sales


  • Increase bottom line revenue by Direct Placement opportunities and Conversion Fees


  • Sales activities including sales blitz and other activities as defined to meet company goals


  • Developing strategic sales plans; assessing the needs of each customer and selling to those needs


  • Conducting sales and service calls; preparing weekly sales reports, summaries and analyses


  • Assisting in developing and implementing marketing plans


  • Improve customer satisfaction and service delivery


  • Increase market share


  • Manage P&L to budget

 


Minimum Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA or equivalent master’s degree, preferred.


  • 10+ years of proven experience in business development, sales and account management.


  • Proven track record of managing a P&L, leading a sales team, meeting assigned revenue targets and   managing client relationships. 


  • Experience with sales of technical services, recruitment processes and IT Staffing.


  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.


  • Ability to develop and implement performance processes and metrics.


  • Ability to lead, train and mentor a team and set and monitor revenue targets for account managers.


  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America.
