JOB SUMMARY:
The Strategic Sourcing Director will lead and direct the Sourcing activities for the Group, including directing, mentoring and managing a team of individuals, located in each member company within the Group, to ensure the levels and quality of materials are available within budget and time constraints while following policies, procedures and guidelines.
This position will work closely with the VP’s for each company, identifying requirements, analyzing spend patterns to identify areas for potential savings, risk mitigation and to develop sourcing opportunities
Performs strategic sourcing initiatives and identifies otherwise “lost” opportunities by establishing high-level relationships across the Group. Conducts research on potential suppliers worldwide. Responsible for preparing and facilitating RFP’s and negotiating national and international contracts.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field to the Industry or Business
Excellent negotiation skills.
Preferred: Masters’ degree in business or related field. Certified purchasing manager designation.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in sourcing within the Industrial Markets in a B to B environment.
Preferred: Background in Food Safety or Chemical Industry. Should have purchasing management experience. Advanced knowledge and experience in procuring from origin and global sourcing.
POSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification
Required: Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred: Detailed-oriented with ability to oversee projects from origin through execution. Willingness to learn and should be able to flourish in a high growth, dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel highly preferred.

1. Develops and manages the strategic sourcing of raw materials and finished good components for the chemical manufacturing and engineering businesses.
2. Works with the Executive Team to communicated detailed analysis of market trends and conditions for trading (present and future pricing)
3. Ensure strategic leadership of procurement team to develop and manage quality supplier relationships. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for best (cost, quality and delivery performance)
4. Work with demand forecasts from all companies to determine appropriate quantities of materials to secure on a forecasted basis to ensure appropriate requirements and inventory
5. Develop and work collaboratively across the Group of companies to develop and embed company purchasing policies and ensure compliance with the policies, procedures, guidelines, controls and continuous improvement initiatives
