Responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all associates in support of personal and corporate goals. Assesses developmental needs to drive training initiatives. Identifies and arranges suitable training solutions for associates in sales and service of NIHFCU products. Tasked with the development of programs to enhance the member experience.
· Responsible for the initiation and implementation of all employee development and core competencies programs to support the growth and consistent direction of the Credit Union.
· Create, develop and deliver all training and coaching sessions to increase service/performance levels, moral, productivity, and effectiveness of the organization.
· Develop industry training plans, employee development plans, and responsible for planning and program development.
· Coordinate all day-to-day training details for internal training
· Meet with management to go discuss performance improvement training and conduct New Hire Orientation for new employees.
· Evaluate training effectiveness to ensure that the training staff receives helps the credit union meet its strategic business goals and achieve results.
· Coaching activities and role playing with Management/Staff.
· Creates and/or incorporates training materials to meet a variety of learning styles including manuals, presentations, videos, webinars, etc.
· Designs and implements employee new hire orientation.
· Develops and ensures that extensive sales and service training is provided.
· Perform routine needs assessments to determine areas of development.
· Responsible for the development and continuous enhancement of a relationship sales culture.
· Provides resources pertaining to career options and career counseling for managers and employees.
· Designs and conducts pre and post training assessments (tests) to aid in the further development of the employees and to ensure that training objectives are being met through an established matrix.
· Assists with creating individual learning plans and performance plans
· Maintains and reports training records and activities to the Senior Leadership Team
· Recognizes and addresses sales and service weaknesses through different training methodologies.
· Accesses Member or Associate personal and financial information only as required by the job. Maintain the confidentiality and security of all Member or Associate personal and financial.
· Ensure that work results and processes comply with relevant laws and with established NIHFCU policies, procedures, and practices, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
· Report to the position supervisor, the Director of Corporate Services, or to the complaint vendor any actual or suspected fraud or financial dishonesty or wrong-doing involving members, associates, or NIHFCU.
· Perform other related work as assigned and initiative using available resources to achieve established goals.
Education & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, organization development, or related field required. Masters degree is preferred. At least five years of experience in financial institutions. Must have prior experience with instructural design such as planning directing and coordinating learning objectives and instructral strategies. Experience leading educational programs to include developing the best methodologies for training delivery (such as web-based, classroom, etc). Minimum of two years experience in public speaking and presentations. Proven ability to lead by example and foster a sale and service culture. Outstanding leadership, verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills. Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change.
