Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Administering supplier selection by utilizing quality tools to evaluate and recommend potential new suppliers
· Performing supplier evaluations including on-site audits
· Implementing Quality Management Systems to improve the quality of the products supplied to B/E
· Developing control plans for purchased custom parts
· Implementing quality improvement activities with supply chain
· Initiating Corrective Action Report management and resolution techniques
· Assisting Purchasing with quality input into supplier rating system
· Developing supplier certification program to select, evaluate, monitor, and de-select suppliers
· Developing system for suppliers to submit test & inspection results for custom parts
· Evaluating supplier data for custom parts
· Interfacing with Engineering to ensure custom part drawings clearly specify critical requirements
· Resolving quality problems with material; evaluate any non-conforming material and either accept or reject
· Implementing supplier scorecard to measure suppliers on critical characteristics (price, quality, delivery) as well as other key components; review scorecards with suppliers and work with non-conforming suppliers to develop action plans
· Continually working to improve and develop a robust supply chain for B/E through supplier and internal channels
Job Requirements :
· B.S. in science, engineering or related discipline
· At least 7-8 years relevant experience with supplier quality, quality assurance, quality engineering
· Working knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
· Auditing experience (preferably as a Lead Auditor)
· Ability to interface with all levels of company personnel
· Self-directed/ self-motivated
· Strong Computer skills
· Statistical analysis skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to travel up to 25% - 50% including international travel
