Description:
Fleishman-Hillard has an immediate opening for a Director or Vice President to join the research team at the agency’s global headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. We are seeking a seasoned, entrepreneurial research consultant who is an excellent client relationship manager. The successful candidate will develop and manage a portfolio of communications research projects for a diverse range of clients that include public and private companies of all sizes across dozens of industries, not-for-profit organizations, and associations.
This position offers the opportunity to work across several communications disciplines and assignments, such as public affairs campaigns, corporate message development, crisis management, employee communications, and brand positioning. Other specific aspects of the position include:
· Consulting with clients and recommending research designs that address their needs.
· Writing research proposals and developing cost estimates.
· Managing all aspects of a research project, including the project budget.
· Managing a team of research professionals.
· Drafting primary research instruments including survey questionnaires and focus group discussion guides.
· Analyzing data, writing research reports, and delivering oral research presentations.
· Recommending communications solutions based on the research results.
Requirements:
· Minimum of eight years’ experience with a public opinion or research agency that includes doing research work for corporate clients as well as trade associations.
· Bachelor’s degree, at minimum; master’s degree preferred.
· Results-focused approach and willing to go the extra mile for clients.
· Track record of “selling” research to clients and being the primary point person on the project.
· Capable of leading large and small group discussions and giving presentations to a variety of audiences.
· Able to manage a full, varied workload and deliver high-quality work under deadline pressure.
· Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
· Extremely detail-oriented.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
