This position requires a very well rounded individual to complete multiple task including, dispatch drivers to our clients, recruiting, data entry, screening /hiring drivers. visiting clients. Job Summary:
This position is responsible for taking complete and accurate job orders and identifying and placing temporary driver employees on temporary assignments or direct placement with customer companies according to specified job orders and requirements and identifying business development opportunities through penetration of existing accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting relationships, work assignments, and work schedules may be subject to change in order to meet company needs and business requirements
• Carries out such functions as identifying qualified applicants, conducting screening interviews, administering tests, checking references, and evaluating applicant qualifications.
• Hires qualified temporary drivers and establishes appropriate pay rates based on skills, abilities, and experience.
• Extends job offers by explaining full job description, term of assignment, pay rate, and benefits.
• Obtains complete and accurate information from customers placing job orders and matches best temporary driver to the customer job order. May quote and explain base rates to customer.
• Determines appropriate customer placement of qualified temporary drivers (perhaps through skill marketing) and conducts basic employee orientation.
• Monitors temporary driver activity at customer by tracking attendance, performance, etc.
• Maintains current, accurate customer activity and employee inventory data in the system.
• Conducts regular service calls to assigned customers to ensure quality service, identify any problems, and obtain feedback. Serves as lead on assigned accounts.
• Completes quality control procedures, including but not limited to, check-in calls and follow-up calls on complete job orders.
• Completes accurate payroll processing for temporary drivers.
• Follows and communicates Staffmark safety rules and regulations.
• Ensures workers’ compensation claims are properly filed.
• Under management supervision, coaches and counsels temporary drivers when necessary; completes appropriate documentation, if required.
• Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures and performs branch audits.
• Performs cold calling to prospective customers to identify potential staffing needs and sets appointments for sales calls.
• Performs telephone marketing and recruiting in order to identify suitable temporary drivers for current and prospective customers.
• Represents the company at various professional, academic, and/or civic activities as requested.
• Cultivates, communicates, and supports the company’s mission, vision and core values.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• Must be available for on-call duty after hours and on weekends.
• May require shift work.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises temporary driver employees including monitoring extension or completion of assignments, addressing problems or concerns of temporary driver employees, coaching, counseling, and taking corrective action with temporary driver employees. Terminates temporary driver employees when appropriate. Does not have responsibility for supervising internal Staffmark employees.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, PeopleSoft, and Internet
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have current, valid driver’s license. Position requires travel to and from customer companies and civic events.
