Progressive specialized metals logistics company seeks a dispatcher/management trainee for flatbed trucking operations in Northwest Indiana.

Responsibilities include:

• Solicit freight from customers


• Dispatch company equipment and independent contractors to serve customer needs


• Input dispatch information into computer system


• Interact with all departments to ensure driver and terminal compliance with all state and federal regulations


• Actively recruit drivers for growing operations 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

*Reliable & consistent attendance and timeliness

*PC proficient in mainframe or windows environment, experience with Innovative software is a plus

*Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, juggle multiple priorities, and work with time constraints

*Ability to maintain self control, get along with others, and remain composed and professional during stressful situations

*Thrives under pressure, able to effectively handles time critical issues and meet goals in stressful situations

*High initiative, problem solving ability, and attention to detail

*Prior dispatch experience in a trucking operation and knowledge of DOT regulations preferred
