District Clinical Specialist

The District Clinical Specialist is responsible for providing effective clinical support, consultation and training to senior executives and decision-makers within key customer accounts (Hospitals, IDNs (Intergraded Delivery Network), LTACs (Long Term Acute Care), Major SNFs (Skilled Nurse Facilities)), acting as clinical expert and provide clinical guidance to Surfaces Account Managers and Account Executives, clinical resource for the key accounts in the district program development and implementation, assisting in the coordination and execution of in-services for key account rental and sales conversions, assisting in setting up and implementing P&I studies, defining/refining product usage protocols, Kinetic Therapy programs, etc., presenting features and benefits of Surface products, presenting and implementing value added programs, developing relationships with key decision makers and opinion leaders, coordinating with the Surfaces Account Executives for business reviews with key customers, developing and explaining clinical and financial benefits with key customers, managing patient rounds, and achieving financial and strategic territory goals for assigned territory.  This individual will also be responsible for supporting a large geographic territory.


1.      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

a) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1.    Bachelors degree in related field (i.e. nursing, respiratory therapy, business, etc.)

2.    Four years of relevant patient care experience in the acute marketplace

3.    Intermediate level computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

 

b) OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1.    Ability to travel overnight by plane or car 40-60% in order to provide proper territory coverage

2.    Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written format, with senior executives and key decision-makers

3.    Ability to deal effectively with customers, employees and business contacts, while conveying a positive customer service oriented attitude

4.    Ability to manage change and multiple priorities

5.    Ability to operate independently and efficiently without supervision

6.    Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all business dealings

7.    Ability to provide timely transportation as needed to perform duties

8.    Ability to exercise sound judgment, eliciting support and cooperation from coworkers

9.    Must be willing to travel by commercial air service to attend scheduled business and corporate functions when required

3.         PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.    Four years of relevant patient care experience in the surfaces marketplace

2.    Two years of relevant sales experience in a consultative selling process role.
