Their Opportunity - Our Client is in need of a District Sales Manager (DSM) to grow and manage sales of large, high dollar agricultural equipment to a multi-state dealer network. The sales territory includes Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Western Iowa. The DSM will work out of an office in his or her home. The ideal location for a candidate to reside would be in the central part of this region. Important aspects of this position include building strong relationships with the dealer base; providing dealer sales personnel with information on product and industry trends; providing dealers with product, sales, service and training; helping dealers develop effective advertising; forecasting product sales; assisting dealers in achieving performance goals; educating dealers on sales incentive programs and participating with dealers in development of annual market plans. Focus will be placed on building sound relationships with the customer base, thinking innovatively with voice of customer in mind and assisting dealers and our client in planning and achieving year over year growth. This position reports the North American Sales Manager.
What We Are Looking For In a Candidate:
· Verifiable ability to increase revenue, brand awareness and market share
· 4 year degree
· Experience selling equipment to a dealer network
· Dealer development experience….recruiting new dealers, growing existing dealers and replacing chronic non-performers
· High level of familiarity with construction or agricultural equipment
· Direct experience in rolling out retail and wholesale marketing programs
· Ability to travel with frequent overnight stays
