Job Description
Makita USA, Inc., a worldwide leader in the power tool industry, has a position available for a District Sales Manager for the Chicago District.
Position Responsibilities
Motivate and lead team of outside sales representatives in order to expand market share
Market expansion is a result of effective relationship-building with both dealer and user level visibility
Organize an extensive travel schedule focusing on a cooperative and educational approach to distributor calls, end user calls, demo shows, product knowledge meetings, etc. within assigned district
Innovate new ideas for increasing sales and market visibility
Provide feedback to Regional Vice President concerning the total market place as well as any competitive activities taking place in territory
Interface with multiple departments
Position Requirements
- Significant leadership experience in managing/motivating an outside sales team
- Knowledge of all phases of construction industry
- Organizational skills in above areas, as well as outside sales experience making formal presentations to distributors and end users
- Must Possesess excellent people skills
- Ability to represent the company and the products in a professional level at all times
- Must be assertive and dedicated to Makita
