The Opportunity

We are looking for broadly-skilled, resourceful and talented people to join our Cleveland area team.  The individuals we hire will have the opportunity to learn about McMaster-Carr’s operations with the potential to contribute to multiple areas of the company over time.  These vital team members must be able to adapt to challenging new tasks and environments quickly.  Successfully contributing in one area of the business could lead to new roles and responsibilities in another.

Responsibilities in a given role could include:

• Guiding our diverse clientele quickly and effectively through our enormous inventory to find the specific products they need to meet their business goals
• Identifying new customer opportunities, responding to current customers, and enhancing our marketing file with findings from your research
• Responding to each one of our customers’ unique issues by providing value-added solutions based on sound research and data analysis

Strong candidates should have excellent research and writing skills, be able to multi-task, as well as think creatively and critically in order to meet new challenges.  A bachelor’s degree is required.
