Deloitte Consulting's dynamic Federal Practice based in Washington D.C. and the surrounding Metropolitan area has opportunities for you to become part of their high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Federal clients in financial management, business process improvement, strategy and operations, information systems development, package implementation, enterprise transformation, business process and applications outsourcing, and a full range of human capital advisory services.
Position Description:
The Deloitte Federal Practice is looking for a DoD in Lexington Park, Maryland to perform consulting duties in Federal financial management, accounting, Internal Controls over Financial Reporting to support of the mission and project within the Navy.
Job Location:
-Position located in Washington, DC. All applicants must be willing to commute daily to office location or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
Security Clearance:
-Applicants should
be eligible to obtain and hold an active U.S. Government Clearance, Secret Clearance preferred.
Required Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, engineering, or a related discipline required
-1-5 years of experience with Federal Government accounting and/or use of an automated federal financial system, such as Oracle Federal Financials
-1-5 years of experience with analytical and problem solving skills
-Working knowledge of governmental financial management, General Ledger accounting, and financial internal controls
-Excellent writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills
-Understand federal financial accounting concepts
-Responsible for working with client personnel in functional accounting areas and other Command offices to perform internal controls testing
-Responsible for assisting the client by recommending and implementing corrective actions for identified deficiencies
-Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-facing
skills
Desired Skills:
-DoD experience, Navy preferred
-CPA, CIA, or MBA is a plus, but not required
-Experience in FMS Oracle Federal Financials and/or government accounting concepts and rules
-Maturity and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
