Document Data Technician

About the Job


BPX Technologies, Inc. is looking for highly motivated Document Data Technician to join its civilian government practice. The Document Data Technician reports to the IT Manager, and is responsible for production of documents for the client agency.


 


Document Data Technician Duties / Responsibilities:


·         Document Data Technician must demonstrate competency in document preparation, scanning, indexing, retention of scanned documents and quality control aspects of the records management.


·         Perform verification duties relating to name, address and additional information.


·         Track number of records processed, and provide reporting.


·         Categorize and electronically route documents to the appropriate file and folder location.


·         Responsible for converting documents to several file extensions such as .pdf, .tiff, as well as word processing.


·         Note taking during project meetings in preparation for up coming work load.


·         Assistance also required with incoming and outgoing project mail and deliverables.


·         This job description describes the basic functions of this position.  The candidate may be asked to go above and beyond the basic functions with instructions provided to perform other duties requested by the supervisor.


Skill/Experience Required: 




  • High School Diploma or GED and requires a minimum of 1-3 years using computerized processes.



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, and Excel).                           



  • Must possess decision-making abilities and attention to detail.


Qualifications:


Must be able to work as part of a team, yet also function independently. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and consistently meet established deadlines. The candidate must be able to work in a high pressure environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

Additional skills include:


Ability to adjust and learn quickly. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and exhibit ability to communicate on a professional level with colleagues, supervisors and to clients as needed.


Physical Requirements:


Work requires physical hand dexterity and full range of motion. Requires sitting or standing for long periods of time.
