This position performs consulting duties for Civic Systems’ clients. Work in partnership with clients assisting them with software issues to overcome problems and implementing new software to meet their business objectives. Independent judgment and discretion are required. Need to be knowledgeable, good problem solver, and passionate about the work you do.


 


Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Technical Support and Client Solutions


• Provide on-going technical support and solutions to client software problems.
• Control expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide technical assistance and training to clients.
• Implement enterprise and business software systems.
• Develop software customizations and interfaces in either a Windows or Internet environment.
• Coordinate client activities to provide quality services.
• Control expectations and ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide research and development to assist in client advice.
• Address client issues.
• Ensure that client objectives are met on-time and within budget.
• Establish, develop and maintain strong, long term and positive working relationships with team members and clients.
Implement Systems
• Perform all parts of the project process including project coordination, training, software setup, installation and post project follow-up.
• Able to apply systems technology to meet business needs and objectives.
• Utilize independent judgment and discretion working on projects.
• Customize systems to integrate with client’s existing environment.
• Research and analyze information pertaining to current projects.
• Document all aspects of the project including client’s workflow and processes, change management and lessons learned.
Maintain and expand knowledge base in area of expertise.
• Comply with continuing education requirements; participate in professional organizations, independent study, etc.
• Integrate new knowledge and skills into daily work and share with colleagues as appropriate.


 


Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a specialized or related field such as computer science, management information systems, accounting or business. Minimum of three (3) years work experience. Previous consulting experience or experience in a governmental organization is a plus.


 


Experience in implementing enterprise and business software systems. Certification as a Microsoft Certified Professional MCP or MCDBA, or Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA) is preferred. Technical experience working with Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with VB Script, Java Script, VB.Net and ASP. Net preferred.


 


Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication, outstanding trouble shooting and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel) required. Ability to provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning in order to stay current regarding applicable strategies and regulations, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of duties.
