About the Job

Position Summary:


Works directly under the Data Services Manager to assist in the responsibility of the Laser department’s throughput, deliverability, accuracy, profitability, costs, quality standards, procedures


 


Essential Functions:


 




  1. Facilitates productivity, and accuracy of department’s services, based on departmental standards, clients expectations, and due dates.


  2. Design, plan and set-up documents for printing.


  3. Prepare documents for printing using OCE’s ODDA (GMC PrintNet T)


  4. Modify list data for mail merge and prepare worksheets for print operators  Maintain performance standards and procedures and ensure measurable objectives and quality product. Establish job priorities, with consideration of work flow through departments and scheduled due dates, enabling timely and accurate completion of work.


  5. Schedule work to meet client mail dates and mail services processing schedules.


  6. Communicate job status to the Data Services Manager.


  7. Promote and enforce Towne’s Quality Policy by continuously improving processes and services to provide better solutions for the needs of our customers and to deliver services to them error free, on time, every time.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:




  1. Computer literacy on Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word programs.  Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Professional, In-Design, and Visual FoxPro applications  strongly desired.


  2. Proficient in MS Word with emphasis on merging techniques and importing of graphics or text.


  3. Familiarity with database terminology, concepts and practical applications.


  4. Ability to convert file formats successfully.


  5. Knowledge of commercial laser/LED printers and printer environments.


  6. Ability to learn new programs and applications that Towne may utilize in the future.


  7. Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills


  8. Must be well organized, and able to multitask, follow up on assignments, provide updates, oversee projects to completion.


  9. Type 45 WPM.

 


Qualifications:


Minimum High School education


2 to 3 years similar document processing experience


 


Physical Demands:


Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
