About the Opportunity
PDQ Manufacturing is looking for a high energy individual who has experience in the construction. locksmith or maintenance industry and understands the ins and outs of hardware specification and sales.  You will be calling on the movers and shakers of the construction industry, presenting the features and benefits of PDQ and American Eagle product.  Must be a self starter who can work with little supervision.  Sales experience required.  Only experienced individuals with Door or Contract Hardware background need apply.


 


Job Purpose:


Increases sales by developing sales opportunities through architects, consultants, general contractors, and sales and distribution channels; supporting accounts.  Must have experience creating pull through to distribution.


 


Duties:


* Expands sales opportunities by promoting products.


* Expands product distribution by developing new sales and distribution channels.


* Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.


* Promotes products by providing sales representatives with product information, promotional materials and product demonstrations.


* Increases sales opportunities by passing leads to sales representatives.


* Helps sales representatives by answering questions; responding to requests.


* Develops account relationships by providing product information and explanations; training support staff.


*  Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.


* Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.


* Makes frequent trips to meet with Architects, Consultants and Specification writers to help specification of product.


* Has a working knowledge of key systems and master keying.


* Can assist in architectural specification writing, as well as job takeoffs.


 


Skills/Qualifications:


Problem Solving, Client Relationships, Quality Focus, Motivation for Sales, Market Knowledge, Understanding the Customer, Closing Skills, Foster Teamwork, Training Management, Meeting Sales Goals, Must have strong hardware knowledge. Some AHC course work is desirable but work experience involving specification writing, takeoffs and keying will be considered.  Must have sales background related to the construction industry, and be able to generate pull through sales to our distribution.
