We are presently looking for a highly experienced Task Management Consultant with a military background to function as a trainer and support resource for a government sector client in Baltimore, MD.
Task Management Tool (TMT) is a customized solution built on CRM and SharePoint, used to improve the process of sending, receiving, working on, and assigning status to taskers sent from senior military leaders to their organizations. We are seeking an individual who will represent Ascentium, TMT and our projects, working closely with customers and often with Prime contractors.
What You’ll Do:
- Represent the TMT process as the expert on conference calls with customers and other contractors
- Work with the project manager and system engineer to coordinate deployment of TMT at the customer site
- Manage the expectations of the customer, project manager, and other contractors with regard to the schedule or process
- Assist the customer with documenting their tasker process
- Compare existing tasker processes to the TMT tool to identify similarities and gaps
- Consult with the customer to find acceptable solutions for gaps between the process and tool
- Produce formal TMT training material for the customer
- Identify risks and issues, and escalate them to the project manager
- Communicate across all stakeholders (technical, process, customer users, project manager, other contractors) and at all levels, including Generals
- Be on-site with the customer to facilitate progress
- Create and distribute status reports (daily, weekly, etc.)
- Conduct training and desk-side support to TMT users and functional administrators of TMT
- Provide sales support for TMT or other DoD engagements
- Expected Travel is 50-80%

- Consulting experience; ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
- Expert verbal and written communication skills; strong listening and soft skills
- Self-directed analytical thinkers
- Experience being responsible for the planning and execution of a tool, project, program or training initiative (preferably technology-related)
- Strong presentation skills (senior-level briefings, large group trainings, etc.)
- High comfort level using computers, learning new software or learning about servers
- Ability to work effectively from home when between travels; available to travel to other office and on-site locations as needed (logistics to be determined at hire)
- College degree preferred
