E4073:Tax Accountant Sr
Description:
Performs task under limited supervision related to income tax compliance, such as returns, extensions, forecasts, and tax provisions for Business Sectors and certain Corporate heritage business units. Assists in accounting for income taxes pursuant to SFAS 109. Assists in the training and development of newly hired entry level tax professionals. Conduct first level review of assigned tax packets. Utilizes computer applications related to the preparation of income tax returns of the Corporation. Conducts special tax projects, such as financial impact analyses, tax provisions, and liability forecasts, and projects in related areas. Obtains data to comply with IRS, state, and local audit requests. Interfaces with divisional finance personnel regarding matters related to tax compliance. Provides support in reviewing new and existing tax, court cases, regulations and rulings to ensure minimization of the Corporate tax burden. Flexibility and willingness to put in overtime during certain seasons may be necessary.
Qualifications:
Income Tax preparation and review experience, Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other microsfot suite products.
