Job Description:
Primary responsibilities include providing telephonic consultations to members. These consultations include problem assessment, short-term problem solving, coaching, and referrals for counseling with personal, relationship, work or family issues. The EAP counselor will respond to crisis calls and provide brief therapy as needed. Referrals are made to an external network of EAP providers. Includes consultations with the company’s managers and human resource personnel in conjunction with employment issues and work place situations and provides assistance with members to locate community resources and other work-life services. The position is full time and located in Costa Mesa, CA.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum CA state licensure as a Master’s level clinician is required re: LCSW. Candidate must possess a Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or other closely related behavioral health field. The position requires previous experience in mental health, substance abuse, and EAP work. The candidate must possess skills in assessing and treating chemical dependency and substance abuse, mental health issues, work-related problems, and marital and family issues. Experience providing phone based services and computer proficiency is desirable. The possession of a CEAP and/or being able to conduct consultations in Spanish is a plus.
