EDI PROGRAMMER/ANALYST  

A dynamic East Memphis company is currently recruiting for a full-time EDI Programmer/Analyst that supports e-Business processing for clients and carriers, as well as transportation management systems and Logistic Applications systems.

Position Duties

• Provides Technical support for ANSI X.12 standards and EDIFACT Standards, EDI documents and programming requirements.
  
• Strong knowledge of Logistic based formats (ANSI X.12 transactions 110, 210, 310, 410, 214, 240, 211, 204, 810, 820, etc.)  and (EDIFACT transactions INVOIC, REMADV, IFTMIN, IFTSTA, IFTFCC)
  
• Creating transaction maps for outbound and inbound transactions along with the supporting databases
  
• Knowledge of IBM’s DB2 database and operating systems to develop programs that interface incoming and outgoing data files to existing Logistic Applications and TMS Applications
  
• Maintaining existing applications and support for Logistic Applications related to EDI interfaces
  
• Develops new EDI applications and systems to efficiently process large volume EDI transactions on a timely basis
  
• Support for EDI Manager and EDI-Coordinators working with implementation, research projects and new development
  
• Track and resolve incidents / problems / service requests relating to IT and EDI environments
  
• Work with Business Analysts and users to provide EDI processing for multiple applications
  
• Follow best practices using project management techniques with new project development
  
• Excellent verbal and written skills to interface with the clients, trading partners, users and developers

Job Requirements

B.S. in Information Systems Technology, Technical School Certificate or equivalent experience in technical/business environment is required.

• 5+ years of EDI and/or technical experience in CL programming, RPG/IV, SQL, i5 System (AS/400), SQL Sequel. Experience in XML, .NET, Windows NT, helpful
  
• 5+ years EDI experience as an analyst or similar role
  
• 3+ years with CL programming, RPGIV, and SQL using the i5 System (AS/400)
  
• 3+ years of development techniques used to create ANSI X.12 and EDIFACT  EDI MAPS
  
• 3+ years of Gentran Server EDI processing, hands on experience
  
• 3+ years of multiple EDI translators
  
• Knowledge of Communications and file processing, all communications protocols and file encryption . AS1, AS2, AS3, FTP, FTPS, sFTP, etc
  
• Strong knowledge and experience in Logistics industry is a must
  
• Experience in International Business is a plus
