Title: EDI Specialist

Location: Austin, Texas
Job Summary: In this position you will develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate policies and procedures related to the organization’s Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that EDI-related processes and procedures are maintained and properly executed, including development, change requests, and integration projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinate with various departments within the organization to analyze, design, and develop specifications for enhancements and extensions to the EDI application interfaces.
Test, implement, and maintain EDI transactions.
Maintain detailed knowledge of state and federal regulatory systems. Keep abreast of state and federal regulatory changes and enhancements.
Support relationships with state regulators to enhance the organizational reputation and standing within various states.
Reconcile daily EDI rejections and resubmit transactions as appropriate. Coordinate with various departments to ensure that rejections are cleared within regulatory timeframes. Recognize and track trends in rejection errors and make recommendations for improvement to various departments.
Communicate effectively, orally and in writing with internal and external parties on a wide variety of EDI related issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree or 4 or more years of equivalent work experience recommended
Experience with EDI processes and/or systems is mandatory
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously
