TMK IPSCO, a top U.S. steel pipe producer and a division of OAO TMK, one of the world’s largest oil and gas pipe producers, is currently seeking a self-motivated,  proactive EH&S Specialist to join its team in Beaver Falls, PA. 

This specialist will assist the EH&S Manager with identifying and implementing strategic objectives, safety program development and implementation, supervising EH&S staff, and supporting the needs of the manufacturing departments.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Lead on-site incident investigations


• Develop and implement ongoing safety improvement projects


• Oversee and implement safety training tools


• Continue the development of the Job Safety Analysis program and integrating into SOPs and normal job functions


• Interpret and evaluate OSHA and EPA regulations as related to on-site compliance issues


• Review incident reports and follow-up with facility supervisors to verify proper root cause and corrective action analysis


• Formalize risk assessment program


• Conduct internal compliance and risk assessment audits


• Implement management system tools to improve safety and promote cultural change

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BS degree in Safety, Engineering or other technical related discipline


• A minimum of 4 years job related experience; experience in a heavy manufacturing or steel manufacturing environment highly desirable


• Requires experience in an union work environment; workers comp experience a bonus


• Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and policies based on operational at-risk hazards


• Experience auditing facilities, permit compliance, safety training effectiveness, and corporate and OSHA program compliance


• Strong organizational, communication and technical writing skills


• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; experience with MS Access Database a plus
