Currently, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer II to support the Manufacturing Converting, in Family Care - North America in Neenah, WI.
Position Summary:
Position Summary:
Mechanical Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations. The Mechanical Engineer for this role will provide guidance in design, project management, optimization and problem solving of processes in Converting. Candidates must have expertise across multiple technologies and will have a demonstrated ability to effectively interface with a broad range of team members. The incumbent reports to an Operations Team leader and receives direction in the form of specific asset objectives. Key customers include: Mill Leadership, Mill Asset Teams, Project Leaders, Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance.
Responsibilities:
1) Lead various engineering projects with a financial scope
of up to $1 million.
2) Provide creativity in the design, development, and
optimization of (INSERT PRODUCT FORMS) converting and
manufacturing equipment and processes to meet unit objective
3) Develop knowledge and skills to be recognized as an
effective implementer of engineering principles, scientific
analysis and project management.
4) Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner.
Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes,
policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well
being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel.
5) Seek, recognize, define and solve problems to achieve
unit objectives. Identify technical issues to determine
root cause.
Qualifications:
1) Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college and university and 3 years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments. Candidates with an Associate, Bachelor, or advanced degree in a relevant scientific discipline and possessing applicable experience may also be considered.
2)3+years experience as a manufacturing engineer.
3)Experience with converting process and equipment.
4)Able to work with in alarge diverse environment.
5)Strong communication skills is a must.
6)Strong manufacturing mechanical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1) Strong knowledge and background in process improvement and equipment reliability including technology understanding and development with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in major capital projects.
2) Up to 5 years of experience in a variety of plant and staff assignments, including maintenance and operations.
3) Experience with high speed converting processes or
experience with tissue manufacturing and converting
processes.
4) Experience and expertise with Kimberly-Clark engineering procedures and processes.
5) Experience working with external technical service suppliers.
