Major corporation has 6+ month contracts available for experience IT Enterprise Architects.
The minimum requirements for these positions are:
• Excellent communications skills interacting with technical and executive level audiences
• 8+ years managing hosting relationships and leading infrastructure projects
• 8+ years managing the implementation and support of the following technologies: Microsoft Windows Server, SQL Server, Exchange Server, VMware, Microsoft Clustering, SAN, NAS, DAS, Tivoli Storage Manager, Citrix, AIX, Solaris, and Red Hat.
• 5+ years of planning, implementing, and supporting corporate DR/BCP objectives
• 5+ years managing small technical support teams
• 5+ years of experience with leading infrastructure virtualization and consolidation projects
• Excellent knowledge of hardware including servers, routers, firewalls, and networks.
• Excellent working knowledge of systems infrastructure technologies
• Strong analytical, project management, and technical problem solving skills
• Ability to work either independently or in a team environment, depending on the task at hand
• Passion for teamwork, career growth, and knowledge sharing
• Ability to adapt quickly to change
The Architects will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of infrastructure solutions to the business. As such, the individuals must have exceptional architecture, organizational, management, and communication skills.
The ideal candidates would have 7-10 years of experience, including managing outsourcing providers and complex, technical projects. The individuals would be able to balance tactical project work and strategic thought in designing solutions around a 5-year infrastructure roadmap. Finally, the ideal candidates would easily demonstrate value by delivering exceptional and distinguishable service to the business by:
• Providing architectural guidance and driving infrastructure decisions in collaboration with other technical and management stakeholders
• Providing architectural guidance for large, complex infrastructure systems integration, and hosting engagements.
• Manage infrastructure intake process to ensure project requirements are delivered in a timely fashion and adhere to technology guidelines.
• Coordinating communications regarding infrastructure and hosting decisions to IT and business staff
• Providing regular reports to senior management and internal clients
• Identifying and proactively resolving core infrastructure/systems issues.
• Identifying and managing risks and issues as senior technical performer on projects.
• Act as key point of contact for hosted infrastructure environments, collaborating with other project, technical and management staff to: Define and manage the overall support process, Identify and diagnose all issues with the hosting provider, Manage environment changes including software/hardware upgrades, and patches working with the hosting provider, establishing infrastructure/application metrics and managing vendor SLAs Behavior
