The Thermography team seeks a talented professional to work in a fast-paced, high-tech field as an Electro-Optical Systems Analyst/Engineer for an industry leader in high quality, cost effective digital infrared imaging cameras. As part of the Thermography team you will be part of a broader system team developing next generation of infrared imaging and radiometry electro-optical systems. These systems employ integrated analog and digital CMOS electronics together with MEMS technology Infrared sensors.
The ideal candidate will apply extensive technical expertise and mathematical analysis in optics/infrared technology, scanning/imaging, infrared radiometry and systems analysis. In addition the candidate should be a dynamic results-oriented individual committed to quality, with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Establish techniques, models, systems designs, and calibration procedures to achieve temperature measurement accuracy and image quality in Long Wave IR (L WIR) thermal imagers.
- Model, test and analyze electro-optical components and systems for visible light and un-cooled thermal infrared imaging and fusion.
- Develop test systems and procedures for verification and validation of the temperature measurement accuracy and quality of infrared/visible light images.
- Define metrology methods to obtain temperature accuracy to traceable standard.
- Lead, direct, and train other engineers and technicians on implementation for temperature measurement and image quality techniques, verification and validation procedures, and metrology methods.
- May have direct management responsibilities.
Education/experience:
- Ability to apply advance engineering principles, mathematical theory and concepts requiring substantial ingenuity, creativity and innovation.
- Familiarity with electro-optic system calibration and test methods.
- MatLab experience a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in related engineering field, with a minimum of 12 years practical, technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Completed innovative research with patents assigned and advanced technical degree desirable.
- MS or PH.D preferred.
