Patient Financial Services Administration has an outstanding opportunity for a Credentialed Trainer with EPIC Resolute experience.  The Credentialed Trainer will be responsible for providing multidisciplinary education and training for the CHARMS project at UW Medicine.  Under the direction of the Principal Trainers and in collaboration with CHARMS project staff, this individual will design courses for end-user staff requiring training on UW Medicine's new admissions, discharge and transfer and hospital (facility) billing software system.  Assist and participate in the development of related programs, quality improvement, and information management competencies.  Assist in the evaluation of workflow processes of end-user staff to identify and design the most appropriate training modules.  Design materials and curriculum to support this.  Work closely with other team members, including consultants and project managers, to help establish and clarify course objectives, lead specific learning team project development, and evaluate customized training programs.  Consult with manager on program responsibility.  Collaborate with web developers and provide expert assistance in eLearning module development.  The Credentialed Trainer is both a training subject matter expert and utilization expert.  May be required to assist in the evaluation and testing of new applications.  Participate in project development for new application roll out and enhancements from a workflow analysis and education perspective.  Develop project plans and assist with execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in adult learning theory, group dynamics and facilitation, needs analysis, program design and evaluation, and/or change management.
  • Minimum 3-4 years experience in providing training to a variety of learner groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and teach educational offerings.
  • Demonstrated experience in classroom instruction for adult learners, instructional design, education, organizational development or related field.
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet and email computer-based applications.
  • Recent clinical experience or educator/trainer experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with CBT and / or WBT.
  • Ability to work effectively with many levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment.
  • Excellent teaching, oral, and communication skills.
  • Strong customer eservice skills.
  • Well organized, detail oriented.
  • Epic Resolute training experience required.


An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.
Desired:
Program management experience. Healthcare operational or clinical background. Experience working in a large academic medical center or other health care setting.
Condition of Employment:
Epic trainer credentialing will be obtained through an on-the-job education and evaluation (testing and demonstration) process during the first 4-5 months of this appointment.

Based in an office environment, but conducts training in a variety of classrooms and computer training labs located in multiple facilities across UW Medicine.

Will travel to various locations across UW Medicine.

Will need to transport training materials to the training locations.

Proof of valid Washington Driver's License will be required.

This is a project appointment anticipated to end 4/30/2010.  Monday-Friday schedule plus possible weekends and evenings during 6-week training and 6-week go-live support.
