Day to Day Work

We are looking for a Windows Systems Administrator with Unix experience and a minimum of an Active Secret clearance to join our team in Montgomery Alabama. Highly Desirable: - Excellent overall computer skill’s - Strong Windows (NT/XP) experience - Software (application/operating system) testing knowledge - Hardware/server, networking knowledge - Knowledge of multi-platform systems experience- UNIX, Windows, Linux. - Experience in application/network performance monitoring, availability, and capacity planning - Knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, SSH, TELNET, SNMP, FTP, Netbios - Strong working knowledge of C, C++, PERL, Bourne Shell, Ksh programming VBA and Visual Basic - UNIX user knowledge of PERL and PERL scripting - UNIX user knowledge of Regular Expressions - Knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies - Extremely strong troubleshooting skills - Self starter, motivated, organized, detail oriented - Ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly - Security Clearance (Must have) Additional qualifications: - Extensive knowledge of Mercury tools o BAC version 7.0 o RUM - Considerable application/operating system/hardware testing background - Considerable hardware/server and networking knowledge - Extensive experience in application/network performance monitoring, availability, and capacity planning - Analyze systems, network and hardware issues 10 years experience in coding C. In depth knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems. Knowledge of HTML, XML, PHP. Knowledge of Business Availability Center. Knowledge of Sitescope. Knowledge of scripting language such as PERL, BASH, KSH. Knowledge of VuGen a plus On-call rotation. 10% travel may be involved.
Technical & Behavioral Skills
The successful candidate must have an active Secret clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance upon hire. Also a minimum of 3 years of Windows systems administration experience and an Bachelor's degree in an IT field. Additional years of work experience can be substituted for the lack of an advanced degree.
